CITY – Saxon Hotel
Once you land in Johannesburg for your adventure, you will be transported to the first stop – the beautiful Saxon Hotel, a private retreat in the heart of Johannesburg; on the beautiful tree-lined avenues of Sandhurst. Decompress after your flight in your own spacious suite, at the spa or in the cool of the infinity pool and refuel at Grei restaurant with views of the evening skyline and an experiential dining journey.
Travel deeper: The Saxon is committed to a comprehensive green efficiency programme, which includes well managed recycling practices, organic gardening using only indigenous species and herbs and vegetables for the hotel, and environmentally friendly marketing collateral.
SAFARI – Londolozi
From Johannesburg, fly into the wilderness of South Africa for a few days at Londolozi Private Game Reserve ~ in the heart of Big 5 country: the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve. Soak in the safari experience from the privacy of your suite, immersed in the natural sights and sounds and revel in the all-inclusive experience of fine dining and endless sundowner drinks and game drives beneath African skies.
Other things to know: For an authentic wellness experience, Londolozi’s Healing House combines a range of treatments in the peace of this unique setting. Pick up a few tricks on a photographic safari and visit the local village and digital learning centres set up by Londoloz and the Good Work Foundation, to witness first-hand the positive effects of tourism in Africa.
On your last day, you will be transferred from the Sabi Sand to the airport for a flight to Victoria Falls.
RIVER – Royal Chundu
From the airport you’ll be transferred to Royal Chundu ~ consider a helicopter transfer, so that you can take in the magnificence of the Victoria Falls from above and arrive in style to your villa on a private island in the middle of the Zambezi ~ a private slice of it. Enjoy the tranquility and timelessness however you please, in between sunrise and sunset river cruises, private treehouse sleepouts, canoeing adventures and riverbank picnics, baobab dinners and massage treatments on your balcony.
Travel deeper: Take a look at the heart of Royal Chundu – what drives everything we do: the local community – on a walk through the neighbouring village, learning about the vegetable gardens, fishing initiatives and craft market we help to support. Visit the Royal Chundu Foundation school, where many of the local children – including those of many of our staff – go, and round it off with an exploration of the numerous activities available at Victoria Falls.
On your last day, you will be transferred back to the airport for your flight to Cape Town.
SEA – Ellerman House
From Cape Town International Airport, you will be escorted to Ellerman House in its exclusive seaside setting in Bantry Bay, overlooking the expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. Discover the soul of Ellerman House ~ the exceptional service, extensive collection of South African artwork, refined cuisine and a wine gallery you’ll struggle to pry yourself away from. Relax in the spa, beside the pool, or in the comfort of your suite or private villa, and when curiosity calls, head out and explore the beautiful Mother City with its beaches and mountains right on your doorstep.
Travel deeper: Ellerman House is closely connected with the Click Foundation, which uses technology in education to pursue outcomes based interventions that can meaningfully impact learners, as well as projects called Reading Eggs and Art Angels.
ISLAND – North Island
End your adventure in an Indian Ocean paradise as a helicopter transports you to one of the world’s most exclusive private islands… North Island, in the Seychelles. Experience true exclusivity with your own spacious villa home on the white sand beach, beneath the palm trees. Relax in the spa, or go exploring, enjoying aquatic activities and the Seychelles’ spectacular flora and fauna, abundant here on North Island. Once a plantation, the island has since been transformed into a remarkable sanctuary. It is not uncommon to spot a turtle emerging from the turquoise waters as you enjoy a meal of freshly caught local fish.
Travel deeper: Conservation is at the core of North Island.
