Zambia is OPEN to all international travellers and international flights operate frequently.

It’s an exciting new world. Our bodies are rested and the world is starting to open up for international travel for leisure again!

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

We’re excited to bring you the FACTS to start planning for a trip to Royal Chundu and other destinations in Zambia and East Africa while you’re at it, exploring the beautiful African continent again.

Is Zambia open to all international nationals? YES. Zambia is open to everyone.

Are tourist and business visit visas available for any country? Yes. They are available online or upon arrival just like before. We suggest getting your e-visa beforehand as then the process on arrival is easy peasy and already paid for. Your travel agent can assist you with this or you can click here >

Importantly, before leaving for home or your next destination, you can have your PCR COVID test done at Royal Chundu and receive your certificate with results in 24 hrs while at the lodge. This is great for travellers heading home and needing a negative test certificate for entry.

What do I need to enter Zambia besides a visa?
You only need your PCR negative test, taken within 14 days of arrival!

What are your safety procedures at Royal Chundu?
To ensure the highest level of safety for our guests at Royal Chundu, we have implemented protocols in partnership with Relais & Châteaux and the Zambian Tourism Association, based on the World Health Organization guidelines.

Now For Some Fun!

You are welcome to come and enjoy Royal Chundu for as long as you wish, but you may want to add other exciting destinations too and make Royal Chundu your last stop before returning home, with your PCR certificate in hand.

We have the most wonderful ideas for travellers to enjoy days in Zambia’s vibrant capital, Lusaka too, and ideas on how to link East Africa with Zambia!

1.  You can link Royal Chundu with East Africa.

For example, enter Kenya with your 96hr negative PCR test from your home country, travel around Kenya, then enter Zambia within 14 days of your first test. Come to Royal Chundu as your last stop and have another test carried out while you’re at the lodge before travelling home.

Royal Chundu is the perfect place to rest, nest and digest, relaxing on the Zambezi River, or enjoying more adventures with our activities, the Victoria Falls and life-changing community experiences.

2. Alternatively, get your test at home, enter Zambia within the 14 day test requirement, travel around Zambia and end with Royal Chundu – getting your test at the lodge before flying home.
